Eportfolio Information for Student Teachers
1. FrontPage, EKU Active Directory Network and Adobe Acrobat (writer) are at
all Regional Campuses in the labs.
2. In the eportfolio manual there are instructions for how to burn your
eportfolio on to a CD as long as you are at EKU or one of its Extended campuses:
- Open CD- Easy CD Creator or Windows XP rewritable CD object in the My Computer window.
- copy entire eportfolio folder into appropriate window
- burn/record onto CD
To Use FrontPage at Home:
- At home copy the folder onto your computer desktop or My Documents.
- right click to remove read only on all sub folders
- work on eportfolio
- copy back on to the CD as you did in the directions above and burn/record
- To place eportfolio folder back on your student Web space, come back to EKU and copy the eportfolio folder from the
CD and paste it back where you got it originally. Answer “yes” when asked if you want to replace the existing eportfolio folder.
- Remove Read Only from the eportfolio folder properties.
3. Jump Drive is newer technology available for purchase which can be used to transfer from web to another computer and back. It is a USB memory stick.
They range in storage size from 32 Mb up to 8 Gb.
4. Access FTP- File Transfer Protocol
- Go to any computer with Web/Internet access
- URL- address is in eportfolio manual- (see instruction) best with high speed internet.
- Can work on one page at a time and save changes
- Or with high speed access can work on entire folder as was done with CD (see above)
