Due
to the budget constraints, the courses for new students in the Elementary
MAT program will NOT be offered in Summer 2008, Fall 2008, or Spring
2009. You may still apply, but applications will not be considered until
April 2009, for admission in May 2009.

Candidates admitted to the program must pass
math
and computer skills competency examinations during the first semester of enrollment.

1. Complete all the requirements outlined
by the Graduate
School.
2. Complete and submit the following to the GRADUATE
SCHOOL in order to be considered for admission to the M.A.T. program.
- Graduate School Application and application
fee.
- Transcripts indicating a bachelor's degree and any additional course
work from an accredited institution with a overall GPA of 3.00
OR
a GPA of 3.00 in the last 60 hours of coursework
OR
A Master's Degree
- GRE
scores of 350 verbal and 350 quantitative
OR
a score of 388 on the Miller
Analogies Test
NOTE -Applicants who took the GRE before October
1, 2002
should discuss GRE requirements with Kim Alexander- (859) 622-8326
3.
Submit the following, in one
packet, to Kim Alexander (address below)
- NEW REQUIREMENT
- State-required passing scores on the PRAXIS II Elementary Content
Exam (0014 -Elementary Education: Content Knowledge) will be required
starting with the May 2008 cohort. You MUST take this exam January
12, 2008 OR March 15, 2008.
NOTE: After admission to the program, but prior
to graduation, candidates will also be required to pass the "Principles
of Learning and Teaching" exam of PRAXIS II
- A professional resume
- A professional autobiography (2-4 pages)
- Three letters of reference documenting relevant life/work/educational
experience
- Two "Dispositions" written assignments

- An interview with the M.A.T. committee (after all of the materials

above have been submitted)
NOTE: After admission to the program, but prior
