Admission -- Students must  meet the general requirements of the Graduate School.  In addition, in order to achieve full admission  to the M.A. Ed in Elementary Education,  one of the following test scores is required:  (1)  A minimum total GRE score of 700 with minimum verbal and quantitative subtest scores of 300. (Currently,  the writing subtest is required but a cut-off score has not been established.)  (2) A score of 388 on the Miller's Analogies Test, or (3) A satisfactory score on the PRAXIS II (Student inquiries regarding PRAXIS scores for graduate admission should send an email to coeadvising@eku.edu ).  

Elementary Education with option in ELEMENTARY EDUCATION 

This curriculum is designed to help teachers certified to teach in the elementary school improve their professional skills, extend their knowledge of the subjects they teach, and increase their understanding of the intellectual, philosophical, sociological, psychological, and cultural foundations of effective education.

Subject matter 12 hours: Courses selected to strengthen student's knowledge of subjects taught in the elementary curriculum.

      Selected with advisor approval.
