● EGC 820 – Professional Studies I: Teachers, Schools, and Society (3 hours)

 

● EGC 830 – Professional Studies II: Learners, Teachers, and Curricula (3 hours)

 

 

Second Semester - Fall

 

● EGC 835  Content Methods & Curriculum for Middle Grades  (3 hours)

 

Provisionally certified students (teaching full-time) take ONLY this course.

Full- time graduate students may register for additional courses.

 

 

Third Semester - Spring

 

● EGC 836 – M.A.T Practicum (Student Teaching – 8 hours)

 

● EGC 837 –Middle Grades M.A.T. Seminar (1 hour)

 

Provisionally Certified and full- time graduate students take ONLY these courses. 

 

 

Fourth Semester – Summer

 

● EGC 889 – M.A.T. Capstone Seminar (3 hours)

 

 

Additional required courses may be taken as they fit into schedule.

 

● SED 800 – Exceptional Learners in the Regular Classroom (3 hours)

 

● EMG 806 – Reading Instruction in the Middle School (3 hours)

 

● 4 Graduate courses in the content area of certification (12 hours)
